Congress' Viriato Fernandes drops a bombshell about gold smuggling at Dabolim airport

There is immense pressure on the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) officials investigating the gold smuggling case at Dabolim Airport, which allegedly involves a minister, said South Goa Congress MP Capt (Retd) Viriato Fernandes.

Such gold smuggling is part of the “black economy,” he emphasised, alleging that officials involved in the case have even been promoted.

Viriato stressed that he would not allow the probe into the case to be shut down and would continue to pursue the matter.
