It’s Shigmo season in Goa, and host Siddhant Jambhale speaks with Anant Velkaskar, leader of a dance troupe participating in a Shigmo competition in Savoi-Verem.

Velkaskar discusses how traditional folk dances are slightly adapted for competitions, the troupe’s growth over time, the festivities as a creative platform, the various events where they perform and more.
