Pressure MLAs democratically to make Marathi an official language: Velingkar

Subhash Velingkar has urged Marathi supporters to put democratic pressure on MLAs to grant Marathi official language status in Goa alongside Konkani. 

Speaking at a meeting organised by the Marathi Rajbhasha Nirdhar Samiti in Valpoi, he said the issue was linked to Goa's cultural identity and urged people to spread awareness about Marathi's rich literary heritage and cultural importance.
