Opposition meets governor, demands immediate scrapping of 39A

Yuri Alemao, Venzy Viegas and Valmiki Naik were among those who met the governor

Leader of the Opposition Yuri Alemao, Benaulim MLA Venzy Viegas, and AAP Goa President Valmiki Naik met the Goa governor at Raj Bhavan, in Dona Paula, demanding an immediate Assembly session to scrap Section 39A.

Guided by Justice (Retd) Ferdino Rebello, they also raised concerns over the health of St Andre MLA Viresh Borkar, who is on a hunger strike.
