Mobile retailers to observe ‘No UPI Day’ on October 2

Mobile retailers across India are opposing the proposed 0.4% MDR on select UPI transactions

Mobile retailers across India will observe ‘No UPI Day’ on October 2 against the proposed 0.4% MDR on specified UPI transactions above Rs 2,000.

All India Mobile Retailers Association (AIMRA) members will cover QR codes and refuse UPI payments for the day, while regular UPI and P2P transfers remain unaffected.
