Goa has achieved a historic milestone in agriculture by becoming self-sufficient in vegetable production. Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant announced at the inauguration of multipurpose sports complex, Ponda, that the state, which once depended heavily on imports from neighbouring states, is now exporting surplus vegetables due to increased local horticulture production, marking a major step toward a self-reliant economy.
