Dharbandora tiger death: No evidence of poaching, final report awaited

Samples have been sent for toxicology, DNA, and forensic tests to determine exact cause of death

Health Minister Vishwajit Rane disclosed the post-mortem findings of the tiger carcass found in Dharbandora.


The report states that no signs of poaching or physical injuries were found on the carcass. Officials said the tiger's body was in an advanced stage of decomposition, making it difficult to determine the exact cause of death. No bullets, traps, wires, or signs of blunt trauma were detected during the examination.


Forest authorities confirmed that samples have been sent for toxicology, forensic, and DNA testing. Final conclusions will be drawn after the laboratory reports are received.


The tiger carcass was discovered on 2 May in Aglot, Sacorda, Dharbandora.
