Census 2026-27 dates announced

Goa and other states will conduct the population census from December 1, 2026, to January 4, 2027

The Central Government has announced that the population census in Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and non-snow-bound areas of Uttarakhand will be conducted from December 1, 2026, to January 4, 2027.

Self-enumeration will be available from November 16 to 30, followed by a revision round from January 5 to 9, 2027.
