The Catholic Association of Goa has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Fr Bolmax Pereira, Parish Priest of St Francis Xavier Church, Chicalim, Mormugao.
Remembering him as a fearless advocate for social and environmental justice, the association said Fr Bolmax dedicated his life to protecting Goa’s land, rivers, and people. He worked closely with fishermen, farmers, students, and parishioners, inspiring communities through his leadership, compassion, and commitment to public service.
The association also acknowledged his tireless efforts in environmental protection and pastoral care, stating that his legacy of courage, faith, and service will continue to inspire future generations.
The association also prayed for the repose of his soul and extended condolences to his family, and parishioners.
