BJP-Congress trade barbs over Vijai Sardesai’s political history

With GFP now joining hands with AAP under the banner of 'Goa First', Vijai Sardesai faces attacks from both BJP and Congress. 

The BJP calls it a ‘forced alliance of failed leaders’ trying to ‘save their political existence,’ and said that Goa's first choice will always remain the BJP. Meanwhile Congress revives Sardesai's 1997 exit as the ‘First Betrayal,’ accusing him of putting ‘ambition before loyalty’, alleging that Sardesai left the Congress after serving as Goa Pradesh Youth Congress President and joined Dr. Wilfred De Souza's Goa Rajeev Congress.
