The CM had ordered a probe into Ajit Shankhwalkar's alleged police links in the ₹27 lakh fake Excise Commissioner appointment scam

After the chief minister announced a probe into the police officer allegedly close to Ajit Shankhwalkar, who is accused of collecting Rs 27 lakh using a fake appointment letter for the post of Excise Commissioner, photographs of SP Vishwesh Karpe with Shankhwalkar have gone viral on social media.
